2016 Summer Camps

I Can Paint a Rainbow Camp (3-6 years) Does your young artist love to get messy with paint? Do you hate to clean up after them? Then this is the perfect camp for you and your child! The children will learn about all the colors of the rainbow, including primary and secondary colors. They will learn how to mix their own colors and explore a variety of fun painting techniques. Best of all� no clean-up for mom! Wednesday-Friday 6/1-6/3, 9:00-12:00 Super-Duper Messy Art Camp (3-6 years) Let your little artist explore the messier side of art in this hands-on camp. Your child will enjoy many super-duper messy experiences as they create fantastic works of art. They will paint, sculpt, scribble, and giggle their way to discovering mess-making at its best. These are not projects to tackle at home. We will be maximizing the mess to make this art camp the best! Monday-Thursday 6/6-6/9, 9:00-12:00 or Monday-Thursday 8/22-8/25, 9:00-12:00 Masters in Clay Camp (5-12 years) Be inspired by art created by Vincent Van Gogh, Claude Monet, Edward Munch and Claes Oldenburg. We will recreate famous works of art like Monet's Water Lilies, Munch's The Scream, Oldenburg's Spoonbridge and Cherry and many others, all in clay. Make room to display these masterpieces! The projects your child creates in this camp are going to be amazing! Monday-Thursday 6/13-6/16, 9:00-12:00 or Monday-Thursday 8/22-8/25, 1:00-4:00 Glow-in-the-Dark Art Camp- Part II (4-9 years) Back by popular demand with all new projects! These projects will ROCK your child's world long after the lights go out at night. You guessed it, all the project we will create at this camp will glow-in-the-dark! How cool is that?!?!?! We will be working with a variety of different art supplies including clay, paint and other luminescent materials to create masterpieces your child will be ready to show off in the dark! Monday-Thursday 6/13-6/16, 1:00-4:00 or Monday-Thursday 8/29-9/1, 9:00-12:00 The Messiest Art Camp Ever!- Part III (5-12 years) Back by popular demand with all new projects that take mess-making to the next level! We'll paint with plaster, tie dye, make paper mache birds and fling paint like Jackson Pollock. We will even learn some art terms along the way. These are not projects to tackle at home- leave the mess with us. After all, art can be a marvelously messy good time! Monday-Thursday 6/27-6/30, 1:00-4:00 or Monday-Thursday 7/25-7/28, 9:00-12:00 Beyond Pinch Pots Camp (5-12 years) Every kid loves making pinch pots! But let's go beyond that and learn super cool techniques to transform pinch pots into puppy pals, silly rabbits, playful penguins and much more. Not only will the kids learn the basics of working with clay but they will create amazing clay creations that are way cooler than a plain old ordinary pinch pot! Tuesday-Thursday 7/5-7/7, 9:00-12:00 3D Art Adventure Camp (5-12 years) Whoa! This art will leap off the page! Your child will enjoy learning ways to create three dimensional art. They will work with a variety of art supplies such as paper, paint, and clay to create 3D masterpieces. In addition, each student will receive their very own pair of 3D glasses and a 3D Doodle Booklet to take home with them at the end of the camp. Monday-Thursday 7/11-7/14, 9:00-12:00 or Monday-Thursday 8/8-8/11, 1:00-4:00 Canvas & Clay Camp (5-12 years) Creating with clay and painting on canvas- it just doesn't get any better than that! In this camp, your child will get to experiment with many different types of art while learning simple step-by-step painting and clay techniques. They will make 3D bears, owls that glow-in-the-dark, a scratch board painting of a cat and so much more! What a great way for your child to explore the incredible world of art! Dates: Monday-Thursday 7/25-7/28, 1:00-4:00 Pajama Party Camp (4-9 years) Roll out of bed and come to camp in your jammies! Why? Because every kid is just a little bit more creative while wearing their slippers! These art projects are anything but ordinary. We'll create turtles, trees, masks and more magnificent masterpieces that are designed to educate and inspire your child as they learn about the wonders of art. We will sculpt, collage, print, paint and (of course) create a huge mess as we explore basic art concepts- all while in our P.J.'s. Dates: Monday-Thursday 8/1-8/4, 9:00-12:00

2016 Summer Workshops

Father's Day Gift Making Workshop (18 months-6 years) What dad wouldn't love a card made just for him? Let your little one surprise dad this Father's Day with a hand-made card that tells him what a great "catch" he is. You and your child will paint, cut, and print to create this fisherman themed card just for dad. Come and create right along with your child. All children must be accompanied by a caregiver. Friday 6/17, 9:00-10:00 Father's Day Gift Making Workshop (4-9 years) Show your dad how much you love him by making a Father's Day gift with your own two hands! We will let dad know that he is quite the "catch" by creating him a "trophy" sized gift. We will work with air-dry clay and paint to create a fish that is sure to put a smile on dad's face. Friday 6/17, 10:15-12:15 Studio Time (18 months-9 years) Looking for a fun activity to do with your child? Studio Time is a flexible drop-in class that allows young artists unstructured time to create. Every class, we will set up 4 fun art stations with lots of cool art materials and projects. Sorry, this is not a drop off class. Children are welcome to stay as long as they wish. Children must be accompanied by a caregiver. Friday 6/17, 1:30-3:30 Me Time for Mom & Dad- Tie-Dye Party (3-9 years) Need a 3 hour vacation from your little one? Drop off your child at Kidcreate and go shopping, read a book, grab some coffee or run errands without your little helper. We'll keep your child busy creating while you enjoy some time to yourself. This is NOT a project you want your kids doing at home! Send your kids to class to make a tie-dyed shirt they will wear all year long. Saturday 6/25, 9:00-12:00 Signing up siblings? Decorative Garden Stone Workshop (5-12 years) Decorate your garden with a one-of-a-kind masterpiece created by your child! What a great keepsake! If there are any special do-dads you'd like your child to incorporate into the stone please have them bring them to class. Friday 7/29, 1:00-4:00 Mommy's Time Off- Tie-Dye Party (3-9 years) This drop off class is great for mommies, daddies or whoever wants a little break! Let your kids express their creativity while you enjoy some time to yourself. This is NOT a project you want your kids doing at home! Send your kids to class to make a tie-dyed shirt they will wear all year long. Children must bring their own white t-shirt to class. Friday 8/5, 9:00-12:00 Signing up siblings? Friday 8/12, 1:30-3:30 Date Night- Canvas and Cookies: Messy Monster (3-9 years) Do you have plans that don't include your little ones? Do you want to see a movie that isn't animated or enjoy a dinner that doesn't include french fries? Sign your kids up for their own night out. Wow! This is going to be a messy (and delicious) one! We'll use plaster and paint to create an imaginary monster on a canvas board. Then we will take a cookie break! Kidcreate Studio will serve cookies as a snack during this class. Yum!
