2016 Summer Camps

I Can Paint a Rainbow Camp (3-6 years) Does your young artist love to get messy with paint? Do you hate to clean up after them? Then this is the perfect camp for you and your child! The children will learn about all the colors of the rainbow, including primary and secondary colors. They will learn how to mix their own colors and explore a variety of fun painting techniques. Best of all� no clean-up for mom! Wednesday-Friday 6/1-6/3, 9:00-12:00 For the Love of Art Camp (4-9 years) Painting, collage, and clay- you name it, kids love it! In this camp, your child will experiment with many different types of art while they make Van Gogh globes, dot-to-dot like Seurat and more. They'll learn about famous artists such as Henri Matisse, Georges Seurat and Vincent Van Gogh. What a great way for your child to explore the incredible world of art! Monday-Thursday 6/6-6/9, 1:00-4:00- Eden Prairie Only Masters in Clay Camp (5-12 years) Be inspired by art created by Vincent Van Gogh, Claude Monet, Edward Munch and Claes Oldenburg. We will recreate famous works of art like Monet's Water Lilies, Munch's The Scream, Oldenburg's Spoonbridge and Cherry and many others, all in clay. Make room to display these masterpieces! The projects your child creates in this camp are going to be amazing! Monday-Thursday 6/13-6/16, 9:00-12:00 or Monday-Thursday 8/22-8/25, 1:00-4:00 Dazzling Doodlers Camp (3-6 years) Calling all aspiring doodlers! This is the art camp you've been waiting for! Painting, drawing, and clay- it's all so much fun! We will experiment with many techniques, styles and materials as we make handprint flower gardens, dinosaurs that glow-in-the-dark, silly clay owls and more. Your child will have an artsy good time as they create dazzling doodles and silly scribbles in this highly anticipated camp. Monday-Thursday 6/27-6/30, 9:00-12:00 Beyond Pinch Pots Camp (5-12 years) Every kid loves making pinch pots! But let's go beyond that and learn super cool techniques to transform pinch pots into puppy pals, silly rabbits, playful penguins and much more. Not only will the kids learn the basics of working with clay but they will create amazing clay creations that are way cooler than a plain old ordinary pinch pot! Tuesday-Thursday 7/5-7/7, 9:00-12:00 3D Art Adventure Camp (5-12 years) Whoa! This art will leap off the page! Your child will enjoy learning ways to create three dimensional art. They will work with a variety of art supplies such as paper, paint, and clay to create 3D masterpieces. In addition, each student will receive their very own pair of 3D glasses and a 3D Doodle Booklet to take home with them at the end of the camp. Monday-Thursday 7/11-7/14, 9:00-12:00 or Monday-Thursday 8/8-8/11, 1:00-4:00 Let's Paint on Canvas Camp (5-12 years) Make room on your walls! Your child is going to be very proud of these masterpieces! In this popular camp, the kids will paint on canvas just like a real artist! They will learn simple step-by-step painting techniques as they create colorful owls, inspirational quotes, impasto landscapes and more, all on real canvas boards. What's impasto? Ask your child after camp and see how much they've learned! Monday-Thursday 7/11-7/14, 1:00-4:00 How to Draw Cartoon Animals Camp (5-12 years) Kids, have you ever wished you were better at drawing cartoons? During this camp, we'll guide you step-by-step through the creation of super silly (and cute) animals! From cute cuddly puppy dogs to happy hedgehogs, you will be impressed with how great your drawings turn out! Each child will receive their own How to Draw Cartoon Animals booklet to take home! Monday-Thursday 7/18-7/21, 1:00-4:00 or Monday-Thursday 8/15-8/18, 9:00-12:00 Canvas & Clay Camp (5-12 years) Creating with clay and painting on canvas- it just doesn't get any better than that! In this camp, your child will get to experiment with many different types of art while learning simple step-by-step painting and clay techniques. They will make 3D bears, owls that glow-in-the-dark, a scratch board painting of a cat and so much more! What a great way for your child to explore the incredible world of art! Dates: Monday-Thursday 7/25-7/28, 1:00-4:00 Mini Masters Camp (3-6 years) Come make friends with Picasso, Monet, Matisse, Van Gogh and more famous artists. Your mini-master will enjoy painting, cutting, scribbling and giggling while creating fantastic works of art- all inspired by famous artists. Books and examples of masterpieces will educate and delight your child during this fun filled camp. Dates: Monday-Thursday 8/8-8/11, 9:00-12:00 I "Heart" Art Mini-Camp (5-12 years) Does your child love art? Painting, drawing, clay- it's all awesome! We will experiment with many techniques, materials and styles as we make 3D owls, stylized self-portraits, clay coil creations and more. Come to camp ready for some mess-making fun. We'll do it all at this artsy camp! Dates: Friday 8/19, 9:00-3:00

Masters in the Morning- Van Gogh Up Close (5-12 years) Battle summer slip with these educational art classes! Every month this summer, we are offering a special class about a famous artist. We will learn about and be inspired by a different artist each class. We will get messy with a variety of different art materials every class. Friday 6/10, 9:00-12:00 How to Draw- Angry Bird (5-12 years) Our How to Draw classes are great summertime boredom busters! Three hours of step-by-step drawing instruction is a dream come true for any kid. The drawing supplies and project ideas will be different every class, so sign up as often as you like without worries of repeats! This is a drop off class, 3 hours of me-time for mom! Friday 6/10, 1:00-4:00 Studio Time (18 months-9 years) Looking for a fun activity to do with your child? Studio Time is a flexible drop-in class that allows young artists unstructured time to create. Every class, we will set up 4 fun art stations with lots of cool art materials and projects. Sorry, this is not a drop off class. Children are welcome to stay as long as they wish. Children must be accompanied by a caregiver. Friday 6/17, 1:30-3:30 Mommy's Time Off- Canvas & Cookies: Van Gogh's Sunny Sunflowers (3-9 years) This drop off class is great for mommies, daddies or whoever wants a little break! Let your kids express their creativity while you enjoy some time to yourself. Vincent Van Gogh's sunny sunflower painting is sure to brighten anyone's day! We will learn about and be inspired by this famous artist as we paint our own sunflowers on a real canvas board! Then, just for fun, Kidcreate Studio will serve a cookie snack! Studio Time is a flexible drop-in class that allows young artists unstructured time to create. Every class, we will set up 4 fun art stations with lots of cool art materials and projects. Sorry, this is not a drop off class. Children are welcome to stay as long as they wish. Children must be accompanied by a caregiver. Friday 7/15, 1:30-3:30 Me Time for Mom & Dad- Clay Play Day: Family Plaque (3-9 years) Need a 3 hour vacation from your little one? Drop off your child at Kidcreate and go shopping, read a book, grab some coffee or run errands without your little helper. We'll keep your child busy creating while you enjoy some time to yourself. Come play with some clay! We will work with air-dry clay as we create a family plaque featuring everyone in our family, even our family pets.
